Hi there.  I've been without my computer for the past week and am
sorting through my messages as I type this.  All 500+ of them.  

	I hope to start writing regularly again and continuing some of the
series that I have negleted for the past few months when I can find the
time.  

	In the meantime, some of you may remember my "Top Twenty Predictions
for 1997" that I posted on January 1.  Now with the first month almost
finished, let's see if I have a career as a fortune teller or need to
polish up my crystal ball. :)


20. The mailing list will have a lull period once every two weeks
prompting many people to post messages on the list to ask what's wrong. 

[Happened a couple of times so far.  You know who you are. ;)]


18. Someone will write a crossover of Ranma 1/2 with Evil Ernie.

[Hmmm....I thought for sure Wyrm would snatch that one up.....]


17. Megane 6.7 will write the first lemon ever featuring Kodachi and
Ranma that will trigger a month long debate on the list as to who is the
more interesting couple "Kodachi and Ranma" or "Ranma-Chan and
Ryouga".   

[Should be finished by next week I hope....BTW, I was mistaken.  There
is a Kodachi/Ranma lemon that deals with phone sex so mine won't be the
first.]


11. Webdragon will release yet another beautiful tearjerker story that
will sweep the best Ranma 1/2 fanfic of 1997 catagory.

["A Second Chance"  Nuff said.]


9. The seemingly endless debates about "writing styles and prose in
fanfiction" will continue unabated on the list.

8. Men in Canada will be flooding the beaches with camcorders in summer
now that women there are legally allowed to walk around in public
topless.

[Several fanfic authors, whose names I've been paid well not to
disclose, have already made travel arrangements to the great white
north, camcorders in hand.  :) ]


7. There will be even more submissions of "Really Really Dumb Fanfic
Ideas" on the list that are anything but dumb.  

[Called it!  Called it!  Sam and Max, Curse of Monkey Island, etc.]


4. Science Fiction will dominate T.V and Movies starting with "The Old
Revised Stars Wars Trilogy" and finishing with the first part of "The
New Star Wars Trilogy." 

[Star Wars.  Tonight.  Revised.  THX.  I've bought my ticket!!!]


3. Writers will still be swearing blue and green after trying to send
their story to the list for the 67th time and can't get it to show up.

[And then complain about excessive reposts when the 67th posting finally
goes through.]


2. There will be more Non-Ranma fanfiction including new UF submissions!
Unfortunately this also includes more "Spam" and "Subscribe" messages. 

[*grin*]

and the number one prediction for 1997....

1. We will still have to sort though billions of messages that contain
one simple word and a frantic apology right below it:  "Test"

[That one was too easy to predict...]


And now here are five more predictions for 1997....


5. O.J. will lose in court, appeal and torture us with yet more t.v.
coverage and debates on CNN.

4. Zen will finally continue "The Long Winding Road".  Not a order. 
Just a request from a big fan of that story.  Not to mention a big fan
of the Ukyou/Ranma coupling.

3. Nabiki will finally gets hers in an upcoming fanfic.  Who will do the
deed?  I challege thee.

2. Sometime during the next four minutes, White Wolf will trip on the
<fanfic.com> powercord. Again.
   
and my latest prediction for 1997?

1. Someone will read a story on the list, wipe away a tear or two and
then thank the author for giving them the pleasure of reading such a
fine piece of work and in turn this will give true joy to the author for
creating something that brought joy to others.
