You've missed the obvious.



Just as Akane only hits Ranma when he threatens their future

marriage. (Which only their fathers are attempting to ensure, right?)



C-ko only cries at A-ko, when A-ko points out how C-ko isn't being a

proper mother to her.  (Yes, getting her up in the morning, fixing her

lunch, worrying about the boys she's dating.  C-ko is A-ko's substitute

mommy!)



Now go watch Project A-ko "Battles" on the Sci-Fi channel this Saturday,
