	Here's a little teaser I just tossed together...

	This story is based on the anime Tenchimuyo! owned by AIC.  I do not intend
to use this story to make any sort of profit (in fact I'm writing it at a loss
when you think about it...).

A Chance For Freedom

	Another dull day in the life of the high school senior, Ken Sano.  The
previous year had started off like it would be the best year of his life... 
He'd finally made a few friends.. gotten the attention of a pretty girl.. then
all hell had broken loose.
	Ken had been staying late at school one night, working on the finishing
touches for one of his cram school courses, when a crazed woman with silver
hair LEVELED THE SCHOOL!
	Ken had spent hours pinned under a fallen slab of concrete..  A fallen slab
that had cut the circulation off to his right leg..  A leg he no longer had...
	Ken hobbled down the small country road to his family's home.  It was tough
walking on an artificial leg, even with the help of a cane...  He paused by
the roadside, resting his exhausted body against a tree and wallowing in his
own self pity...
	He'd lost his right leg, just above the knee...  His girlfriend thought he
was a freak and couldn't even look at him without shuddering...  He'd lost his
place on the soccer team...
	All thanks to the woman that had moved in with his FORMER best friend, his
life was a living hell!
	Ken almost broke into tears when a faint gleam in the underbrush off the road
caught his eye and distracted him from his train of thought...  He made his
way down off the road and into the forest.
	It wasn't easy going, but he finally came to the object that had caught his
attention.  A gleaming shard of crystal, at least as big as a man!  It seemed
to glow with an eery, inner, green light as he stared at it, entranced.
	Ken dropped his cane and limped up to the crystal's glassy surface,
spellbound in a manner not unlike the apes in the opening scene of 2001.  He
reached out to touch the crystal, and didn't even scream when he was suddenly
pulled inside of it.

	Half an hour later, Ken walked out of the forest, tossing aside both his cane
and artificial leg with a mirthless chuckle.  His eyes momentarily flashed
green as he buttoned up his uniform jacket's collar to hide the green gem
implanted at the base of his throat.  Then he checked to see if anything was
showing at his wrists...  "Excellent.." the man in Ken's body muttered, "A
new, young body..  My full power..  And the name of the man I must destroy... 
Tenchi Masaki, prepare to meet my wrath.  After all, revenge is a dish, best
served cold..."
	The man in Ken's body silenced the teen's protests and headed towards the
Masaki home, humming "Bach's Little Fugue" under his breath all the way...
