Actually, Bert gains the powers of Magic and Mind in TP4.  In it, a little
green fellow, known as Yoda shows up as a guide...

Soon, back in his home universe, Priss, who is officially berts sister,
gains powers as well.

This leads to some interesting situations, especially when Darlene, Berts
cousin, shows up in Mega-Tokyo and starts dating Leon...
