"Tokyo Standard Magazine

December, 2036

Who would have believed that the rumours about super powered
individuals going around Mega-Tokyo recently would turn out to be true?
After all, even if the Star Wars series was beautifully completed,
and made itself a cult following that extends to this day and age, real
Jedi Knights couldn't possibly exist.
	Or could they?
As it turns out, Mega-Tokyo has been experiencing a rash of
strange sightings, from a ADP officer all in black, to a rider waving an
energy sword, and even an X- Wing fighter on patrol over the city.
	What is the truth?
Well, going to ADP headquarters, and getting in touch with Squad Q
was a start. After all, they are the ones who handle all of the strangest
happenings in the city.
I was surprised when the owner of the X-Wing, Inspector Romanova,
and her droid, R2-D2 greeted me and started to show me around. It was
surprising enough that she could talk to the little wheeled robot, but to
be introduced to a _sentient_ battlesuit was something I had not imagined
would happen. AD-17, the first, and only, sentient battlesuit was
responding to e-mail over the net. It was funny to hear him grumble about
how people were too scared for him to go out to a theatre to see a movie
instead of downloading it into his memory banks.
A droid, wanting to see a movie...
Of course, meeting THE Jedi, Inspector Bert Van Vliet, was
somewhat of a mixed blessing.
From what I saw, he was dressed in a black suit, had some sort of
blaster, that looked surprisingly (or perhaps not so surprisingly) like
that worn by Han Solo in the first of the released films. Attached to his
belt was a tube, which he called a lightsaber, which he refused to
demonstrate saying that it was not a toy. (Personally, I wonder how an
energy sword would make a difference in battle with rampaging boomers, but
then again, I'm not crazy.)
Still, my daughter thought he was a rather dashing figure."

"The article doesn't seem all that bad, all things considered. I
hope the Chief is happy with this." Bert chuckled at the magazine, not
really paying attention to it anymore now that he knew it was a publicity
or puff piece.
Nene's eyes hardened, "Not that bad?"
Leon, Daley, Naoko, and Twister took that opportunity to make
themselves scarce, especially once they heard the ice in the red headed
woman's voice. "Are you reading the right article?"
Bert looked up carefully. He was still in the doghouse over
Natsumi, and not telling Nene about her sooner, but for her to sound like
this again..."Now what did I do wrong?"
Not saying a word, Nene flipped the book over to another section.
At the top, was the heading, "Tokyo's most eligible bachelors", and
featured at the top was his picture and name...
"Oh come on, Nene!" he protested. "Nobody reads that garbage and
takes it seriously!"
"Oh, really?" Nene glared at him. "Then how come I've already
fielded half-a- dozen calls from several unidentified women who want to
talk to the 'Jedi bachelor'?" She crossed her arms over her chest and
waited for a reply.
	"Calls?" Bert repeated weakly.
