Okay, so I'ts susposed to be drawing to a close.
Big deal
The SKAJAM! Revengefic challenge presents,

there NOW)
MALICE
It was some what after 2:00 - I'd been up late goofing off (you
know: Reading spamor stories on the FFML, working on one of my inumerabel
unfinnished fanfic attempts, GRITing on wRec.arts.anime.misc) when the
latest post came in from the ML. (I allways check mail before sleep - heck,
I ocasionally check mail before _breathing_.)
It was the latest chapter of Worse -I shook my head. Those
Transdimensional incidents were worying, in that I hoped they'd stop before
I actually got anything done, but I was safe wasn't I? After all, most of my
'fic attempts were still in the planning stages, and the only otaku 'fic I
even _concidered_ writing was still just conceptualization. I Couldn't
have pissed anyone off yet, I'd not finnished anything, and wouldn't be
finished untill this whole thing blew over.
Poor Scott, though - those people could try anyone's patience.
Though at least all he got was visits - Some of the other ML authors had
gotten much worse. Like Temptest...Ugh. The non-human curses were pretty
bad, but I thought that 'her' particular combination - to be non-human,
changed to female, and basically exiled from normal life - was worse. And
it was permanent.
I decided that sleep was a noshow for the night, and went to brew
some tea (hot, of course) with wich to curl up while I read the 'fic in
question.
When I got back to my room, there were people laughing inside - I
thought the idiot fratparty next door had spilled over into my room, and
prepared to give several loud, drunk and obnoxious Theta Chi students a
peice of my mind. (Oh, the joy of living in collage dorms. Weekends are the
loud days out here at OSU, read that: OutSide the Universe, Stillwater
Oklahoma's prime reason for not drying up and blowing away.)
Striding through the door proved to be a mistake: As soon as I
passed the threshhold I was lifted by the colar and slammed into my chair by
one of the blond aparations who were holding what looked to be a small war
in my room.
Ranma was present too - standing in the corner and smirking like the
devil himself, but the other two worried me far more - heck, I didn't even
realize he'd been there untill after the fact.
Looking at them I found myself completly devoid of clever responses,
so instead I settled on stupified increaduility. "I thought GRIT characters
weren't involved in that revenge thing."
The guy on left, physically a male mirror of his 'sister', except
for the demon marks and fangs she had - adjusted his sport coat and gave me
a pitying look. "Actually, I'm just along for the ride. Sis is the one who
has a bone to pick with you.." Casual examination of Wychan - the demoness
on the right - told me I was in a lot of trouble. She had on her 'official'
uniform as a Demoness (1st class unlimited, Niphliem), IE: black leather
with lots of short silver spikes, and a really big cape. She was idly
playing with a big wooden bucket, ladleing water out of it with this weird
looking thing.
Off hand, I had a pretty good idea what it was, and where the water
came from.
I stole a glance at Wyldfire - who probably _was_ the 'ride', rather
than being 'along for' it, him being an interdimensional teleport and all,
and gulped. If I couldn't talk my way out of this, I was going to be
switching doorm rooms fairly fast. "Look, I thought I handled you fairly
well, Wychan.." My words died off as she growled at me and lashed some of
the water at my feet, forcing me to jump onto the chair or become a lot more
interesting to look at.
"Well? WELL??!!!" I concidered my self inordantly lucky: she put
the bucket down in order to rant. "You put me through TEN THOUSAND YEARS OF
HELL!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT DEMON TRAINING IS LIKE???" How my
roommates avoided hearing her scream, I don't know - probably magic.
"Um, vaguely.." I managed to (weakly) stammer as she pushed me
backwards over my desk.
"Vaguely." It came out as another of those 'Big moma panther' growls
- frankly, Tornados sound tamer than she did, but she fought it down,
quickly reasearting her self controll. It was at that point that I began to
get this sort of 'premonition of doom' feeling - which was a big releif, I'd
been expecting it to show up much earlier, and had been very worried that it
haddn't.
Wychan's perfectly sultry voice smashed the relief almost before it
apeared, though. "I know what it's like _very_ well....Don't I? After all,
I graduated at the top of my class, didn't I?"
I had a very bad feeling I knew where this was going, but I tried a
reply anyway. "Yes, the best in Aeons."
She nodded at my afirmation. "I don't mind the job - It has really
cool fringe benifits, after all. I even got used to being a _female_ demon.
But."
She smiled cruelly, "I didn't need to have the 'anime neither realm
survival course' Re-inflicted on me for my first class licence! Once was
enough! Loki's breath, I still have nightmares about those tentacles! You
think you could have gone a little easier on me? Hm?"
"S-sorry." I blanched. I'd forgotten about that - I had made her
confirmation as a 1st class demoness require her to retake the demon
graduate level courses. In most cases, now would be the time to grovel.
But I had pride.
She reached for the bucket. "Not as sorry as you're going to be you
little..." Not that much pride.
"Please don't do it! I don't wanna be turned female and thrown to
the Overfeind! I'm to young to die! WAHHH!!!!!!!" This is called
'pathetic', and I did it fairly well.
"Oh all right, I'm not going to throw you to the Overfiend. Please
quit bawling already." Putting the bucket back down, she smiled wanly at me.
"You mean it? really?" Hope sprang up - I might get out of this
alive after all.
"Only because I'm not that nice." Splash. The feeling of the change
was weird - not the 'tingle' everyone allways talks about in fanfics, but
rather a feeling of falling apart as bits, and then reorganizing at a higher
level of perception - and only then the awareness of my changed body. It
didn't take me long to figure out once I caught my reflection, though,
Because the demon marks stood out rather promantly. So did a few other
things, like the red-as-blood hair and the face and figure. And the fangs.
Those I noticed right away. Mostly because I'd bitten my tounge.
"Get in gear aprentice - you're late for training." She can't
complain about being occ, though. The vindictiveness was very definitly
there. Very definitly.
Eventually, I did get used to my new body - not hard if one is stuck
in it. The Training still gives me pause - Wychan shows up about twice a
month and abducts me for about a weak's demon-training each time. In other
words, by the time I get over the nightmares from the last time, it's time
for the next class period. Back home, though - I can't even go NEAR a
church anymore.
Luckily I've only been summoned twice so far, and those were in
class. Being summoned HURTS, by the way..If it does that to all demons, then
it's small wonder everyone in the infernal realms is in such a bad mood.
I didn't wind up changing rooms - a simple illusion spell restores
my old appearence, and I didn't want to answer any questions. I havn't told
my parents - What would I tell them anyway? I'm your oldest son, but I've
been turned into a demoness from Norse myth? Even I wouldn't believe that.
But one of these days, I have to start the advanced courses...and my
class standing isn't nearly what Wychan's was, and she didn't come through
the survival course completely unscathed, just unmolested but hurt.
I heard about the coming 'Revenge's end' rebellion - but, well..I can't join
in. Not that I want to - but I'm not allowed to talk about that, its still
secret.
I did concider talking to some of the other authors, and maybe I will, if I
can get permission. Right now, I'm below quota for an Imp of my standing,
and I have to get to work.
Wyldfire-chan, Imp second class, provisional.
I just had to, that's all. :P
