Actually, I was trying to point out that since the fan fictions are
already so Americanized, that people should not complain about other
subjects being put into it.  After all, if I was a purist, then all of
these fanfictions would be subject to a lot of needless critism for having
deviated from actual cultural and factural information.  To me, it is sort
of disturbing to see so many assumptions on life in Japan, but that is the
opinion of the writer, and it could and probably does occur that way in
another dimension of space-time, but I still enjoy the story.

     I will fully admit that I know next to nothing about Japanese culture.
That being said, I will admit that I have to make a guess on the proper
course of action as dictated by my limited knowledge and the character(s)
I'm writing about.
     Personally, I would like to be critized about what I do in fanfics
that isn't in synch with Japanese culture. I think a few other authors
would agree with me, as this is an excellent way for us to both increase
our knowledge about Japan as well as improve our stories.
