You suggest what people write and post should be controlled.  That
contradicts your statement that "authors have a right to write and post
what they want".  As Caroline Ann Seawright says, not every country has a
"First Amendment".  But if a country can claim to be so free a country as
the United States, as I'm sure her Australia does, surely the freedom of
speech is guaranteed there by law.

Actually, it isn't guaranteed by law. Though, near the end of last year,
the priminister made a statement that people should be able to have free
speech - but some guy who wanted to talk about the Jews making up all the
stories of concentration camps, etc, and that Hitler didn't do anything
bad to the Jews - he decided to try to get into Australia to do his talks.
(He and others like him have been banned from entering Australia.) So that
definatly put a damper on that little speech, and the guy wasn't allowed
into the country - so I can say that there is no law for free speech at
all.
