I can see the flamethrowers warming up all over the globe on this one,
but I'll step into the line of fire anyway.

"The Surrogate" is an example of the kind of fiction that SHOULD be 
posted on this list.

It is clearly labled, anyone reading the first line of the post should 
be able to realize that the fic is NOT going to be a pleasent
experience.

That is not a clear warning.  Unpleasant is one thing, "the surrogate" is
clearly another.
