Exactly how many ranma fanfics here are called "gay" fanfic?  I've been on
the  list for a while now under various accounts and I don't recall reading
that many.  In fact, it seems that most of what I've read are heterosexual
fanfics.  I don't think it has gone out of control at all.  I actually LIKE
reading these once in a while since it gives a different flavor.

I am not gaybasher.  In fact two of my closer friends are gay.  This is
more into regards to the slaughter of the Ranma characters.  I do not
deny that authors have a right to write and post what they want.  This
is more of a plea to state that this has gone out of control.  Almost

Just because the story involves YAOI doesn't mean that it will slaughter
Ranma characters.  Keep in mind that Ranma is not the only anime with gay
fanfics.  In fact, I think out of all the fanfics out there, Ranma has the
LEAST number of gay fanfics.  Take a look at YuYuHakusho, X, Tokyo Babylon,
RG Veda, and Samurai Troopers, they have way more gay fanfics than Ranma.
Besides, these fanfics have not damage any characters at all.  I actually
know quite a lot of people who enjoy reading and writing this type of fic.

all of the stories are poorly written so I can only assume that they are
being posted for attention or a desire to justify their own feelings, or
worse yet to see who can just outdo the other.  Today I read a fanfic
with Kasumi having sex with her father Mr. Tendo.  If this is not a good
case of things just going to far I don't know what is.  If you feel as I
do, and judging from the amount of email I have recieved their are more
than some voice your opinion.  We can't force anyone to stop, but maybe

Again, I have to say that this is NOT damage causing.  Fanfics are written
for the enjoyment of the readers and writers.  There are many fanfics being
circulated around, one is not forced to read the ones he or she doesn't
like. Besides, this is fanfiction.  Fiction is not real.  I don't see how it
can cause damage.

No offense but if the person cannot take YAOI, they should have known better
to quit reading that fanfic as soon as they realize what the content is.

Put talents into better use?  Isn't that implying that it is a waste of
talents to write yaoi fanfics?  All fanfics can be written well regardless
of genre.  Again, this is NOTHING personal but gay fanfictions don't ruin an
anime/manga's character or rep.  It is, after all, fictions.
