I remember seeing something in high school that was a list of grammar
rules and writing tips, while at the same time being a list of
examples of the mistakes that the rules were telling you to avoid.

	Yeah, I got a whole list of 'em that was handed out in one of my 
1st year english classes.  I can type them in if anyone want.
 

Some of these rules are way too nitpicky for fanfiction, I realize
that. I'm just listing the above as the examples I can think of.

	Not really... most of them just make sense.  Well, ok, some are a 
little annoying... after all, "To boldly go where no one has gone 
before..." is technically a screw-up, but I'm certainly not gonna complain...
