just getting ready to write a bit more of 'The Pursuit of Happiness'
and I need to find out the following (and it REALLY helps if you've
read alot of the manga or seen later R1/2 episodes):

I can answer the manga questions, but not the anime-related ones... Oh
well...

1) What's Asuka the White Lilly like? in demeanor? personality?
   her martial arts ability?

AFAIK, Asuka doesn't have martial arts ability. The way I see it, she's
more like Kodachi's social rival, hence the "best boyfriend" contest. In
personality, though, she's domineering, more underhanded than Kodachi,
and quite a snob.

5) under what conditions did Kumon Ryuu leave the Tendo household?
did he just leave? did he promise not to use the Saotome
techniques that he'd learned after he was defeated? what was
he intending to do after leaving the Tendos?

Ryuu never actually arrived at the Tendo's. However, during his story
arc he _did_ stay at the Saotome house and he once showed up at
Furinkan. Anyway, to answer the questions:

#1, he just left after the last fight with Ranma. Nevertheless, since he
knows about the curse and that Ranma is disguising as "Ranko," Ryuu
tells him to tell the truth to Nodoka. This is important for several
reasons. Throughout the Yamasenken story, Ryuu is seen as a laconic, if
violent, person who quickly became fond of Ranma's mother.

#2, one would have to assume he kept to his promise and never used the
Saotome Ryuu Yamasenken techniques (i.e. Kijin Raishuudan, Moukou
Kaimonha, etc.) out of his honor. But if fanfic authors still have Ranma
using the Umisenken techs (which were supposed to be buried along with
Yamasenken) then maybe you could write Ryuu using good ol' Yamasenken.

#3, as for his future plans, only Ryuu himself knows. You see, Ryuu is a
travelling martial artist (like his SF2 namesake) whose only goal was to
find the Umisenken scroll and learn its techniques. The reason for this
is that he wanted to rebuild the Kumon Doujou, and acquiring both
techniques would supposedly help him do so. But after his defeat, he
looked pretty devastated --he had lost his only driving goal in life.
Who knows what he did after leaving. (As a side note: since Genma
originally gave the Yamasenken scroll to Ryuu's dad, then maybe Ryuu
would still like to avenge his father's death, which was caused
precisely by Yamasenken.)

Hope that helped.
