This SHOULDN'T be the case as it is established in Takahashi Ranmaverse
that spring of drowned man will 'cure' Ranma's curse (refer: the
instant drowned man spring that he gets from shampoo has this effect
in the manga, ie Ranma&Genma sit in cold water as males)

Only if it was made from real Jyusenkyo spring-water, man. Even then, who's
to say that Jyusenkyo water doesn't change slightly when dried and then
rehydrated (we don't know how magic behaves, right)? Indeed, if this is
natural Jyusenkyo water, then it does change, as the curse becomes
temporary.

None of the cursed has ever been cured. Indeed, the only person to bathe in
multiple ponds is Pants, and look what it did to HIM!

Any good programmer will tell you that just because two programs work
separately, that doesn't mean that they'll work together.
