My collection of Ranma videos is entirely composed of Viz dubs. Now, I know
that there are many purists who cringe at the thought of any kind of dub,
and it is not my intention to get into any sort of arguement regarding the
superiority of subbing over dubbing, or vice-versa.
 Truth be told, I am, for the most part, eminently satisfied with the voices
Viz chose for most of the Ranma characters. By virtue of that miracle known
as the World Wide Web, I've actually heard many of the Japanese voices for
the Ranma characters. Some, like Shampoo's voice are wonderfully similar. In
some cases, like those of Ryoga and Ukyou, I actually prefer the American.
(Ryoga just sounds too deep and masculine in the Japanese. The American
voice is much better at making Ryoga sound pathetic when he needs to sound
pathetic, while still sounding stern when he needs to sound stern. Ukyou's
voice, on the other hand, I found way too high-pitched and whiney in the
Japanese. It's hard to see how Ranma could ever have mistaken her for a boy,
from the sound samples that I heard.) In other cases, however, the American
voices just don't do the job. Ranma's male voice (at least in the first
season, and movies, and stuff) just isn't convincing. And then there's
Kodachi's laugh.
 (Pay attention now, folks, I'm actually getting to the point of this post.)
 Kodachi's laugh has alone inspired fanfics with it's evil. Unfortunately,
Kodachi's American voice (while appropriately sinister, most of the time)
just doesn't cut it for laughter. So, I've never heard Kodachi's legendary
laugh.
 So this is my request: Does anyone know of a website or archive where I can
find a recording of the Japanese Kodachi's laugh? I need to hear it. Just once.
