I hope you appreciate this little fic. I reworked one of the papers I did
for class. I apologize in advance for the lousy format (if it happens to you).

Any C&C you might have will be appreciated. ^_^

Chairman Quincy
CEO
Genom Corporation
Genom Tower
MegaTokyo, Japan

Dear Chairman Quincy:

Whenever a customer of Genom Alarm Industries starts having difficulties
with an alarm
that causes the customer to question the reliabilty of Genom Alarm
Industries, I am
certain that you and Genom Alarm Industries are concerned.

On June 8, 2033, I was eating dinner when an officer from the MegaTokyo Police
department arrived. He said that my alarm had sounded and asked if everything is
alright. I said that the alarm had not been armed since I disarmed it in the
morning, and
that as far as I knew everything was alright. We checked my property for
signs of an
intruder and then the officer left. I called Genom Alarm Industries that
evening and had
the alarm put up for servicing the next day.

The next day, a service representative came out and spent about an hour checking
everything over. He said the alarm was alright. That night, about 1 am, the
police again
arrived and said that my alarm had sounded. I told them that it had not gone
off and that
the keypad had not shown any alarms for that evening. After they left, I
called Genom
Alarm Industries and had the put up for service again.

The next day, a different service representative serviced my alarm. He spent
about one
hour thoroughly going through the system looking for faults. He even checked the
programing for the control panel. He could find nothing wrong with what he
checked, but
he could not check the radio's programming. He set up an appointment for the
following
day for an installer to come out and check the radio. The installer came out
the next day
and checked the radio transmitter. The installer could find nothing wrong in the
programming for the radio. He assured me that the system was operating
correctly.

Imagine my surprise the next morning when I walked out my door to go to work and
found officer Leon McNichol of the Advanced Police pointing a gun at me!
Again, the
alarm had false alarmed. After a nervous few minutes in which I managed to
convince
officer McNichol that I lived here and that nothing was wrong, I called the
alarm
company. I asked what signals they got and they said that the radio had sent
in a
burgular alarm. They had gotten nothing from the phone system. I had the
system put up
for service again.

The alarm has false alarmed six more times since then and each time, I had
the alarm
serviced. The last time it was serviced, the service representative
mentioned the
possibility that there was another radio alarm sending alarms in on my
account number.
Since this is the only reasonable cause for the continuing alarms on my
radio alarm, I
would like to request a new account number for my radio system and a refund
for all the
service calls associated with reparing this system as well as for the fines
imposed on me
by the local authorities for the false alarms . My system has been reliable
until recently
and I would appreciate it if my system was once again as reliable.

Sincerely,

Nabiki Tendo
Loan Officer, Tinsel City Bank
