Interesting....Were you aware that the name of the next "Monkey Island"
game is actually called "The Curse of Monkey Island?  Still, Ranma as a
pirate....not a bad idea at that.  Ukyou would make a good Governor
Elaine, Kunou is made to be Captain Smirk, Kodachi as the Sword Master,
The half-blind lookout could be played by Mousse, The extremely annoying
and schemeing Stan would be played by Nabiki.  The Voodoo pristess would
be Shampoo since Cologne is too old for the role, IMHO.  I'm not sure
where Ryouga, Ranma-Chan, Cologne, and Akane could play but the "Men of
low moral fiber" could easily be played by Daisuke, Hiroshi and
Gosunkugi.  Scratch that, Gosunkugi could play Bob, Lechuck's right hand
man, he's pale enough.  I can't really see Lechuck played by Kunou but
Happosai, with the exception of the size difference, would be good. 
After all only Happosai could beat the living crap out of Ranma like
Lechuck did to Guybrush during the final act.  All in all, this sounds
like one I'd like to tackle when I get some free time.

BTW, those of you who are wondering what the hell we're talking about,
Monkey Island is a extremely humourous computer game about pirates with
some of the best swordfighting insults....

	Ranma: No one will ever catch me fighting as badly as you do.

	Ryouga: You run THAT fast?

	Or

	Kunou: I've got the courage and skill of a master swordsman!

	Ranma: I'd be in real trouble if you ever used them.

Didn't see the message from the FFML, but from what you wrote, I assume you at 
least intended to send it here, so I'm replying here.

Yeah, I did know that the third part of "The Secret of Monkey Island" was 
called "The Curse of Monkey Island"; hell, I've even got the excellent 13 (or 
so) MB AVI teaser.  However, I thought it best to call it "The Curse of Monkey 
Island" because the Ranma 1/2 team are in there.

As for cast lists, it's extremely difficult IMHO.  Not because the Ranma 1/2 
cast aren't suitable for it; they're immensely suitable.  It's just that each 
character could fit so many roles.

I initially thought of Kuno as LeChuck, Akane as Elaine, and Ranma as Guybrush. 
 Akane doesn't seem to make a good Governor at first, until you start looking 
at Monkey Island 2 : LeChuck's Revenge...  ahem.

Then, of course, Akane could also easily be the Swordmaster.  I can just 
imagine Ranma going over there, and they exchange swordfighting insults... 
except not quite the original ones Monkey Island fans are used to.

Or perhaps Shampoo could be the Swordmaster, and Ranma wins more than a T-shirt 
for defeating her.  This lends the role of the Shopkeeper to Mousse.

Mousse:  I guess I could go all the way over there and ask her.  Once.

For Happosai, Genma and Soun, I had thought of the three Important Looking 
Pirates.  I can just see them thinking of the quests; Genma for weaponmastery 
"A true pirate must be an expert at any kind of weapon; being a martial artist 
isn't enough."  Soun for thievery; a plot cooked up by Genma and Soun to 
introduce Ranma to Akane.  And Happosai for treasure-huntery.  And it isn't a 
T-shirt that Ranma digs up ^_^

Gosunkugi as Bob would be nice.  I hadn't thought of that, but he works well; 
especially if Kuno plays LeChuck: There are many times in the manga where 
Gosunkugi does some work for Kuno.

On the other hand, I think Cologne would certainly make a good Voodoo 
priestess.  I can just see her doing all those mystic stuff (besides, she's 
probably one of the few who would know about the "Curse of Monkey Island")

Um, with my cast list, I'm not sure who would play Captain Smirk...  But 
Kodachi would fit in well as the evil voodoo priestess in Monkey Island II, 
where LeChuck's brought back to life.  But who to play Largo...

Oh well, I said it'd be difficult.  Anyway, what do you think of these 
suggestions?
