Well, I myself don't really have any opinion on having either Ranma or Akane
being the new Senshi.  Either way, it's cool with me.  Personally, I wouldn't
let public opinion guide your story.  To paraphrase the movie, "Write the
fanfic, and they will read it."

If you like that Ranma be the Senshi, then so be it.  I like the story so
far, myself.
