Side Story #1 1/2: A Few Moments Behind The Scenes

This bit of twisted silliness was inspired by "Anime Telephone &
Telegraph" by Eric George.

"CUT! Print it! That's a wrap on this episode people!"
On the set of "The Great Anime Crossover From Hell!!!" the cast
broke character and wandered off the set. Behind the cameras Erin Mills,
Christopher Willmore and Nicholas Leifker sat and discussed the script
for episode eight.
Aaron wandered up to the three writer/directors.
"Hey, guys." Erin looked up at his clone.
"What's up?"
Aaron pointed back at the ladies' dressing room where the sounds
of violence could be heard.
"Carol just read the script treatment for episode ten. She's not
happy."
The three directors exchanged glances at each other.
"Who's turn is it this time?" Chris asked.
"Mine," said Nicholas. He stood up, strapped on a WWII helmet
and LAPD riot gear, picked up a taser wand and walked over to the
dressing room.
No sooner had he knocked than he was yanked into the room.
Immediately the sounds of violence increased tenfold.
As Chris and Erin winced, Aaron went back to the men's dressing
room. The remaining authors turned their attention back to the script.
A few moments later, a well dressed man in a tailored three piece
stepped up to them.
"Excuse me,"
"Yes?" Chris said.
"I'm the official representative from the 'Ranma 1/2 Comic Continuity
Board,'" The man said. "We've been following your project for quite a
while now, and we have few concerns."
"Like what?" Erin asked.
"Well, for starters, Akane hasn't lost her temper all that much.
There haven't been any martial arts fight scenes and as for the Jusenkyo
curses, Ranma and Ryoga haven't changed forms once in seven
episodes."
Erin and Chris exchanged another glance. Erin reached into his
pocket and pulled out a silver dollar.
"Call it." he said to Chris and flipped the coin into the air.
"Heads."
It came out tails and Chris went to mollify the bureaucrat. Erin
turned his attention back to the script. He was interrupted by Ryoga
tapping him on the shoulder. Erin put down the script in exasperation.
"What?"
Ryoga blushed a little. "Um, concerning the Anti-Senshi,
particularly the male Anti-Senshi..."
"Yes?"
"Well, um, they can't seem to get out of their costumes."
"What? The zippers are right in back!"
"That's not what I mean. I mean they REALLY can't get out of
their costumes." Ryoga, embarrassed, cupped a pair of imaginary
breasts. Erin's eyes widened.
"You mean...?" Ryoga nodded.
"PROPS!!!" Erin bellowed. In a flash (literally) Space Ghost stood
beside the remaining director.
"Yo!" he said brightly. "What can I do ya for, boss?"
"What's the story on the anti-wands? The male Anti-Senshi can't
change back to male form!"
"Well, you said you wanted realism in this fic, so I sent Zorak and
Brak out to get the wands."
"Zorak and Brak?!" Erin was on the verge of having a coronary.
"Yeah, they said they got the wands from this girl with spiky red
hair named Washuu. Real cheap too! Is something wrong? Erin?"
The super hero looked down at the quivering mass of flesh that
had once been a halfway-decent fanfic author...
