1) Dragonball Z: A Quiet Day.
A fanfic focusing on absutly nothing. No alien martial artests try to
destroy the earth. Nobody chanlenges Son Goku to a fight (or anyone else, for
that mator). Picalo takes his godson, Son Gohan to the zoo, and nothing
exciting hapens. Eveyone eats dinner, and eveyone gets thair fill (normaly,
Son Goku usaly eats most of the food before eveyone else can eat).

That's odd. I was thinking of a plot idea like this for "The Books Saga".
Basically, the premise was this: since Ian has been in the infliction 'fic
business for so long, he expects bad things to happen, and so naturally he's
become quite paranoid over the long months. However, this short piece of
fiction featured a single period of 24 hours where *everything* goes right for
him. Nothing bad happens. No ambushes, no battles, no haggling for food and
rest, no arguments, no Chronos. And of course, given his paranoid nature, he
rather spoils his perfect day by always worrying when it's going to end, what's
going to happen, steeling himself for what, for him, seems inevitable.

And of course, he's gotten used to this by the end of the day, so when things
fall back into their usual pattern... ahem. "Oh s**t..."

I've had this idea for quite a while now, though it may be some time before I
write it. Although it may work for "The Books Saga" more than it would for
others. Of course, a Ranma 1/2 fic where Ranma and Akane get to have a day
without any other fiancees butting in would be comparable. Unless it's already
been done...

Anyway, don't knock off ideas like that too soon. Seems like that these
"Fanfics I will never write," are exactly that; Fanfics I won't write, but
someone else probably will.

Ciao,
