Again, why does having a large family mean that Akane is doing nothing
besides raising the family.  In fact, since Ranma is home all day anyway
running the dojo, it would make more sense that *he* is the one spending
more time raising the kids than Akane.

Well, traditionally, women stayed home to take care of the family because
they were the only ones that could breastfeed.  Yes, it's sad but true.
After many failed attempts, men just gave up trying to get anything to come
out of their nipples.  I know from personal experance.  However, now, with
Ranma's special curse, Akane is free to pursue a carrer right after birth,
and the young tot can still get the healthy breast milk soooo conducive to
good health early in life.

Akane: Ranma, my nipples are aching.  Would you mind feeding little Toshihiro?

Ranma: grumble grumble mutter <SPLASH!!> mutter mutter grumble.

<Hey, Lawson.  Anything new in the works?  Like maybe more with Kentaro and
Ranma?  Or it might be interesting to see what the curse finally has planned
for him.  Well?>

Oh, and one other thing.  I was walking through my local bookstore, and came
across a novel that I hadn't seen before.  Dragons of Summer Flame, by
Margret Wies and Tracey Hickman.  It's about the sons and daughters of the
heros from another series of books.  Then it hit me.  I wonder what Ranma,
Akane, Ryoga, Ukyo, Akari, Kuno, Kodachi, Konatsu, and everybody else's
children would be like?  Let's say Ranma and Akane have a boy, and Ryoga and
Ukyo/Akari (depends on who writes) have a girl.  Now lets go one further and
say that through the magic of Jusenkyo, the curses are also passed along by
blood.  Not necessarily the same curse, but a curse.  Now let's go even
further, and have the two be engaged.  Let us also suppose that they really
like one another, and get along rather well.  Whoa, where's the conflict?
Well, let's also say that Kumon Ryu (A really cool character from the manga
that I don't think was ever in the anime) and Kodachi also have a child, and
this one is obsessed with either Ranma Jr. or Ryoga Jr.  Not love, but hate.
A desperate desire to kill one or both of them.  Maybe an obsession for
world domination.  I don't know.  I'll let someone else continue down this
path, cause there was one other way that this could have gone.  Something
like the Hakkenden, seven warriors gather to go on some sort of quest.  The
only thing is, they are the children of our beloved Ranma crew.  That one
might also be interesting.  I would write either one of them, but I have a
tendancy to write very dark stories with the hero(s) ending up dead half the
time. (The other half, I turn him into a vampire, take away everything that
he held dear, and then let him struggle to remain one of the 'good' guys.
Did I mention that I write insertion fics?)  Oh well!
