coming up in my next fic.

4)Maison Ikoku:  The Quickening
	The story about how young Godai has a tragic accident involving a 
misunderstanding, a chiwawa, and a rubber hose; gets himself killed, and 
finds out he's an immortal.  Mr. Yatsuya, another immortal, is forced to 
train Godai before another claims the easy pickings.

Maybe they just got fed Mermaid Meat when they weren't expecting it.
