Which you did quite effectively, at least in my case. So do we need to
draw a distinction between Self-Infliction fics and just plain
Infliction fics (which feature some generic Otaku)? Or is this sort of
pedantry just going to bore the masses?

Well, in this case, it works well for both The Otaku, The Otaku Returns, 
and my soon to be released The Otaku:  The Final Reckoning.  (Shameless 
plug here!)

Cool! you know, there's so much good stuff coming out to read these
days that I wonder when I'm gonna find time to *write* anything...

The Otaku with the sex-changing curse
might stumble across Jusenkyo. He'll then misunderstand the Guide's
directions and jump into the Spring of Drowned Nympho instead of the
nannichuan, as the D.O.M.C.ers approach...

That's gonna hurt those who see themselves as extremely manly....

Yeah, I have an Infliction fic of my own planned down the road, if I
ever get my s--- together to actually write the thing...
