Dreams - Part 1
"Get up. We have to go to work."
Jon rolled over on his futon and looked up. The woman was dressed as she
always was when they had to 'work'. Jon just sighed, pulled on some black
jeans and a black shirt. He grabbed his 'modified' steel toe boots, and tied
his hair back with a black bandanna. "You know, Mako, this is getting
annoying. I thought that after the defeat of Galaxia, and our marrrige, we
could take a break from all this running around in the night." Jon smiled
and went in to kiss their daughter good night. "But nooooo, we have to keep
on fighting to protect the city. But you know what really annoys me? You
lost that really short skirt. Probably better that way. Now I won't trip
over my own feet staring at those legs."
"Well, when we get back, I might be able to find my old outfit, and..."
Mako trailed off, smiling at her husband. She still remembered that day
years ago when she revealed herself to be Sailor Jupiter to Jon. Jon had
transferred to Tokyo University the next year, and ended up running with the
Sailor Senshi. Things got even stranger when Jon's powers surfaced, but he
proved to be a valuable asset to the team, as Jupiter's male counterpart,
Zeus, and even held two seperate marrige cerimonies, one a traditional
Japanese, and the other held by Prince Endymion and Princess Serenity. In a
private ceremony, attended only by the Sailor Senshi, the future king and
queen of Crystal Tokyo bonded Kino Makoto's and Jonathan Farber's souls
together with the power of the ginzhoujou. Already two halves of a whole,
the bond gave them a mystic link that allowed them to sense each others
emotions, and know when one was in trouble. In return, Jon pledged his life
to the service of the King and Queen, and was named King Endymion's head
bodyguard, to reflect his love's posistion as Serenity's head bodyguard.
Mako snapped out of her revery, and looked at Jon. She knew that he was
only kidding with her, and that he secretly loved going out and making a
difference, but that's not what they were going to do tonight. "Jon,
tonight is going to be different. No scum to trash. Instead, Usagi's
called a meeting of the Senshi. We thought it best to bring you and Mamoru
in as well. You ready?"
"Just about. Well, if it's a meeting of the Senshi, should we bring
Lita? She's going to be one, as soon as she's old enough to train." Mako
glared at him. "What? So she's only 3 years old. Acts better then Usagi
did when I first met her. Can't believe that this is the same Usagi who
used to trip over her own two feet. Perseus?" Jon called for their ferret.
Perseus was the one that was supposed to find Jon and train him to be a
warrior. However, Perseus got a little lost, and ended up in Australia
instead of America. When Perseus finally made it to Jon's family house in
New Jersey, he overheard Jon's brother muttering about long distance to
Japan, and 'why couldn't Jon live closer to home?' Perseus finally found
Jon two months ago, and introduced himself. Jon just smiled and told him he
was a little late, but let Perseus stay. Jon figured that Perseus could
work as an emergency baby sitter.
"Yeah, Jon? You got business?" Perseus glided into the bedroom. He
spoke with a slight New York accent that reminded Jon of those cheesie
ganster movies he used to watch.
"Hopefully, no. But watch over Lita, and let us know if anything happens
to her. Use the communicator under my pillow if need be. Got that? Mako
and I are going out. Don't wait up, and if we're not back by morning, call
Daikuske and tell him to open the resturant." Jon told the ferret. The
ferret may not be useful for many other things, but he made a great
babysitter. "Come on, Mako-chan. Let's get to the meeting. We don't want
Rei to get all angry at us."
Dreams - Part 2
Jon and Mako took a liesurely stroll towards Mamoru and Usagi's
apartment. "You know, Jon, it's about 2:00 in the morning. Don't you think
that we should have taken the car?" Mako asked with a slightly amused smile.
Since learning that they no longer needed to say anything, or even
transform, to axcess their powers, the Senshi's abilities had only
increased. While Mako lost her Supreme Thunder and other electric based
attacks, her powers over the earth and nature grew dramaticly. Jon, on the
other hand, stayed in the electric realm, and expanded to kinetic energy. He
was known as Zeus. Like Tuxedo Kamen, he was there, with a pair of knives
that he had since put away in his lunar space, blades gleaming with an
unnatural light and crackling with energy. Of course, Rei took every
opportunity to call him Sparky.
"Don't worry, Ms. Green Thumb, I won't let anyone hurt you." Jon put his
arm around his wife, pulling her close. Mako giggled. Before she could
reply, however, seven teenagers stepped into view. They looked at the
couple, and walked towards them, thinking they were easy prey. <Strike One,
guys.> Jon thought. Aloud he said "Look, guys. We don't want any trouble.
Leave alone, and we'll leave you alone." Mako decided to let Jon handle
this, and she just smiled even more.
"Oooo, look Seiji. The gaijin thinks he's tough. Let's prove him
otherwise." The one called Seiji said nothing, and pulled out a wicked
looking bat, with nails pointing out of it.
<Strike Two.> Jon relaxed his body, ready to react if the thugs tried
anything violent. "I don't think I'm tough. I know I am. Don't make me
prove it. I might mess up my hair." Jon joked. "Look, we have to be at a
friends place in a few minutes. Leave now, and I'll forget this whole thing
ever happened, ok?" Jon smiled more, hoping that he wouldn't have to fight
tonight. <Come on, you idiots. Don't make me hurt you.>
"Maybe your girlfriend here don't want to go with you. Maybe she wants
to stay here and party with us." the leader said. Jon's smile hardend to
steel, but the gang never noticed. <Strike Three, asshole.> Jon thought,
and then he exploded into action.
The fight was really over before it had begun. Jon's knives came into
his hands easily enough, and with almost a quarter of a century of skill,
they were thrown at two members of the gang. One tore open a man's throat,
while the other relieved Seiji of his head. The other members of the gang
just stood there in shock, not believing the speed of what had just
happened. Jon strode over, picked up his knives, and energized them. "Come
on, Fuckballs. Show me what you've got." Jon taunted. The rest of the
gang, trying to avenge their fallen members, rushed Jon. Jon had
anticipated this, and was thankful that guns were nearly impossible to
obtain in Japan. And that he didn't need a gun. He dispatched the other
four members with his knives and a touch of electricity. Soon, only the
leader was left standing. "You and me. One on one. I'll even make it
easy. I won't use any weapons beside my body." To show that he wasn't
lying, Jon handed his knives to Mako. "Here honey, hold these for a
moment." Jon gave her a quick kiss, and turned around to face his opponent.
Jon bowed. His opponent rushed him, and tried to knee Jon in the face. Jon
snapped out a side kick aimed at the leading leg. The steel toe connected
with the slime's knee. The crack was audible for miles. The leader went
down, crippled by the blow. "You're very lucky I'm in a good mood, and my
wife is here, because I wouldn't usually let you off so easily. I'll let
you know what your mistakes were, so that you won't repeat them in your next
life. First you thought that we were easy prey. Second, you threatend us
with physical harm. Lastly, you threatend to rape my wife. No one has, or
ever will, rape her as long as I live, and I plan on living for a very long
time. Enjoy the next few hours. They'll be your last." Jon stated in a
calm voice. The fact that Jon didn't scream or even raise his voice, scared
the fallen man more then anything else. Jon punched the man in the stomach,
and with the help of his kinetic control, ruptured the scum's intestines.
"Jon..." Mako said, reading the pain in his mind. She looked at him, and
saw the tears brimming in his eyes. She knew that he hated killing, but
would never be able to live with himself if anything happened to her, thier
daughter, or the rest of the Senshi. He was a true warrior. Fighting
because he must, not because he wanted to.
"Not here." Jon said. "Let's get to Usagi's, quickly." Mako nodded, and
walked over to her husband. Jon grabbed her hand and held it tightly,
partly for stability, partly to reassure himself that she was still there.
They walked the rest of the way in silence. The walk was no longer liesurly.
Dreams - Part 3
Jon and Makoto made it to Usagi's apartment a few minutes after the
fight. When they finally reached the sofa, Jon allowed himself to collapse
and hung his head in a mournful prayer for the souls he recently sent to the
afterlife. There were tears in his eyes, but he didn't cry. Instead, he
just let them fall down his cheek. Usagi and the others just looked in
shock at the scene before them, and Mako took it upon herself to explain
what had happened. Their expression ranged from shock to understanding to
compassion. Rei went over to Jon, and promptly hit him upside the head.
"Hey? What was that for?" Jon said, as he rubbed his head. It hurt.
"Stop that. You did what you had to do. Would you rather they had
beaten you up, and raped Mako-chan? Is that what you want?" Rei asked Jon,
not yelling, but just asking him.
"NO! I would rather die then let that happen. If..." Jon trailed
off, realizing that Rei was right. Jon was protecting Makoto. Nothing
else. "Thank you Rei-chan. I needed that, but you didn't have to hit me so
hard." A sparkle lit Jon's eyes as he thought of Rei's punishment. Jon
leaped into the air, placed his hands on Rei's shoulders, and flipped her
over. He broke her fall so that it didn't hurt too much, and knelt down
next to her. "Next time, Mars-chan, I'll have to hit you back." Jon smiled
to Rei, who just sat there. Usagi laughed as if it was the funniest thing
in the world, and Mako just hugged her husband. Ami and Minako went over to
help Rei up, and Jon noticed that Mamoru wasn't in sight. "Where's
Mamoru-kun? I thought that you never let him out of your sight?" Jon asked,
still kneeling, but aware of the fact that he was the only male there. "And
Jacen?"
"I'm right here. Sorry, but I had to get a little more work done at
the office." Mamoru said. "You know, it's really amazing. In a few
decades, Usagi and I are going to rule the world. But right now, I still
have to put up with arrogant artists and idiodic seiyuus."
"Jacen had to leave on...well Rei will fill you in." Minako said.
Jon left it at that, and didn't want to pry, as Jacen and Minako had had
some pretty rough times. Jon may have considered all the Senshi family, but
he would have to have a talk with Jacen.
"Ok, Rei. I guess that means that this is your show. Let's get
down to business. What have you got?" Jon always liked to grip a situation
and get all the facts. Then, he usually deferred to Usagi and Mamoru after
giving his position. He knew that he wasn't a leader, but an advisor. He
liked it that way.
"Well, I've gotten help from a friend from the past. His spirit has
told me what to do. I will summon him here to explain." Rei closed her
eyes and concentrated. Slowly, a form coalesed in the room. It was Nephrite.
"Well, I never thought that I'd see you all again. It's good to be
back." Nephrite said. He looked different. He looked at peace.
Rei looked at him. Her eyes misted slightly at the memory of
Nephrite. The only of Beryl's Generals to eventually see the light, and the
only one that the team couldn't save. "Honored Spirit, we ask for your
help. What advice do-" Rei started.
"No need to be formal. I won't twist your words, or lie to you. I'm
here of my own free will. But to begin. The Stars know everything, and
have been an influence in all of your lives. Right now, the balance isn't
very balanced. 4 for 1. The numbers are important. Remember how things
were. Know how things must be. 4 for 1. Numbers are important. Remember
the future. Know the past. Expect help from the least likely of places. Go
East to until you are West. In an Angler's Peir, you'll find one. On
the road of loathing you'll find the other. Two will guide you. One from
your past, and one from the future. The Stars know everything. One appears
before you. One awakens from his sleep." With this, Nephrite started to
dissappear, and a smaller form began to take shape. As the shape became
more distinct, it was revealed to be a female dressed in a sailor fuku. The
girl finally finished forming, and walked towards the collective group.
There was an audible gasp as the mystery girl walked into full veiw.
Her hair, tied back into a pony tail, was the softest lavander,
complimenting her eyes, which were of the most sparkling amythest. Her
skirt was a deep shade of purple, and her bows were the color of darkest
night. She walked with a grace born of a warrior, and strode over to Mako
and Jon. She stoped right in front of them, and gave Mako a kiss on her
cheek, and then hugged Jon. "Hi, mom. Hey, dad." she said.

Somewhere in Canada, a blizzard rages across an open plain. The
wind blows snow from the ground, to reveal a face trapped in crystal. A
face that has sat motionless for over 5 years. And that face....blinks.
Dreams - Part 4
Jon sat staring at the group before him. "Great. A word puzzle.
Just what we need." Jon said sarcasticly. "Ami, any thoughts?"
The blue haired genius sat for a minute thoughtfully. She tilted
her head to the side, and then smiled. "Let's break this down. Go East
until you are West. Japan is the farthest east you can get. Keep going
east, and you end up in the United States. That probably means the West
Coast. But what's the rest of it? Remember the past? 4 for 1? I just
don't get it."
With this, Lita spoke up for the first time. "Well, I know that I'm
the guide from the future."
"Who could the guide from the past be? He's awakening from his
sleep, and is a very unlikely source. And what about the balance? Know the
past? I hate these word games." Rei said. She was fuming. Why did spirits
have to be so criptic?
"Maybe, when he said 'the Past', he meant the Silver Millenium? What
do we know about that time?" Mamoru put forth.
"Well, you were the Prince of Earth, and I was the Princess of the
Moon, and we were in love, and everything was perfect." Usagi gushed,
grabbing Mamoru by the arm and leaning onto his chest. "I love you Mamo-chan."
"I love you too, Usako."
"Gag me, please." Minako said, laughing. "Besides you two weren't
the only ones there. The four of us guarded Princess Serenity, and Endymion
had the Princes of the Four Corn-"
"YAAATAAA! THAT'S IT!!! Remember what Nephrite said? '4 for 1'?
What if he meant bodyguards? It fits. Four of us, protecting Usagi. And
it's not very balanced, as Mamoru only has two. In the past, both of them
had four. In the future, they'll both need an honorguard. So that's what
it's got to mean." Mako exclaimed. Jon looked at her and smiled, pride
evident in his eyes.
"And I think I kinda figured out where we need to go." Lita chimed
in. "I got to thinking. An angler is a fisherman. But what's a peir? It's
a dock. So Nephrite meant that we have to go to a dock with fishermen. But
that could be anywhere."
Jon thought for a moment, then fell over laughing hysterically. It
was a few moments before he could talk again, and even that was inbetween
chuckles. "Why didn't I think of that? A pier is a dock, but it could also
be a wharf. And there is only one Fisherman's Wharf. It's in San
Francisco, along with the 'road of dislike', the Haight. But that still
leaves us asking who we are looking for, and who our other guide is."
Mamoru spoke up, smiling. "Well, I think that can all wait for
tomorrow. Right now, we need to book eight tickets to San Francisco.
What's the airline's number?"
"Umm....Better make that five. You and Usagi aren't going. We
can't risk you two. If you two get injured or killed, there is no future
for the human race, so you are going to sit right here. Got it?" Minako
said. "And don't worry, I'm staying here too. Can't have all of the
bodyguards going and leaving you unprotected."

In the Yukon, a mountie out on patrol was greeted with one of the
strangest sights he'd ever seen. He stopped his snowmobile to see a man,
walking towards him, wearing no heavy clothing. There was another thing
about this man. He seemed to emanate power. The mountie wasn't scared,
though. Just the opposite, the man seemed to make the mountie feel more at
ease. "Hello. I'm Jim. Can I help you?" the mountie asked.
"Yes, thank you. I need a ride to the nearest airport." the man
replied. He shuddered, remembering the last time he was at an airport. Not
an experience he wanted to repeat. "By the way, you can call me Jadeite, or
Jade for short."
***********************************
On Peir 36 in New York, a Spanish looking man strode toward the
dockmaster. The man, flanked by two gorgeous women, spoke to the
dockmaster. "Sir?" The dockmaster looked at the man for the first time.
His brown eyes met with the man's dark green, and the dockmaster suddenly
seemed to relax. "You will see nothing that goes on here tonight. You will
hear nothing that goes on here tonight. I am your master now. You will
obey the will of Andreas of the Lasombra. You are my pet, and I am your
master. Repeat." Andreas commanded. The dockmaster repeated every word in
a flat voice. "Good. Come here, I haven't fed yet tonight, and I am
hungry." The man walked towards Andreas, his eyes vacant and glazed, and
his step slow. When he finally reached Andreas, the man tilted his neck to
the side. Andreas smiled briefly, reveling in the complete power that he
held over this man. He felt his fangs lower into place. Andreas gave the
man's neck a gentle kiss, then nipped at his artery. The warm, salty taste
of the man's blood warmed his cold stomach. He drank for a few more
seconds, then licked the wound closed. He turned to his compainions. "He's
all your's if you want him." The two women desended on the poor man faster
then the human eye could track. They began to bite him all over, even
though it became apparent that these women didn't have fangs. One of the
pair reached into his pants, and took a hold of his manhood. She looked at
it for a few seconds, then shrugged and bit that too. The other noticed,
and joined the first. After a few moments, there was nothing left but
mangled and chewed flesh. Through it all, the man did nothing. He just lay
there. Oblivious.
Five minutes later, the women stood up and walked away from the
remains of the man. They walked over to Andreas and stood there, blood
dripping from their faces, smiling. "Very good, girls. You have pleased
me. Now, your reward." Andreas smiled, his fangs becoming evident. The
vampire desended upon the two women, and proceeded to drink their blood.
When he had drained them both dry, he got up and started to walk away. One
of the women spoke for the first time.
"Master, aren't you going to give us the Kiss?" she gasped as her
life slowly fled from her eyes.
"I wouldn't waste my blood on you two sluts in a thousand years."
Andreas said, and he walked off.
At the end of the dock, Andreas stopped and looked for his ship. It
was there, on time, and being unloaded. He opened one of the crates that
was already unloaded from the ship. It was filled with weapons. These he
toosed aside without a care until he got to the real cargo. 200 kilos raw
cocaine, it's street value was more then 200 million dollars. "Strange
isn't it? My heart stopped beating over 5000 years ago, I have no need for
food, and I own more land then the US government, yet still, I crave money.
I have no need for it, yet I want more. Oh, well, leave that for the
philosophers. Johnson, come here."
The man called Johnson ran when Andreas called. "Yeah, boss?"
"I want the coke cut and ready for distribution by sunrise. Up the
price by 65% per half kilo. I want to make at least $400 mill out of this
shipment. Got that? Your in charge until I get back from my trip. Now,"
Andreas rolled up his sleeve and bit his wrist. "Drink." He commanded.
Johnson bent over and grasped the wrist, bringing it to his mouth. The
blood was still warm. When Johnson had finished, Andreas licked the wound
and said, "Johnson, one other thing. Get someone to clean up those bodies
down there."
"Got it boss." the ghoul replied.
[Author's note: Confused? Ok, when a vamp gives his blood to a
person after draining them dry, they become a vampire. If a vamp give her
blood to a person without draining them dry, they become a ghoul. Ghouls
live longer and are stronger and faster like vampires, but can go out in
sunlight, like humans. Pretty cool, huh?]
Andreas pulled out his cell phone, and dialed up a number. "Hello,
American Airlines? Yes, I need a first class ticket to San Francisco. Night
flight, please. Yes, I'll hold."
Dreams - Interlude
A Conversation
"So, what have we got going on? It seems that you are advancing your front
row."
"Well, brother, I want to be ready for your counter assault. But why San
Francisco, of all places? You already have forces in New York, The Vatican,
and Silicon Valley. I basically own San Francisco, Paris, Rome, and, more
importantly, Los Angeles. Why San Francisco?"
"To be honest, I don't count on the Fae to become involved. And that one
that you woke from the Crystal shouldn't be too much of a problem. And
besides, the Chosen isn't even aware of the full measure of it's power. If
need be, I will call The Vatican, but I think that the Elder will do. For now."
"You would really call out The Inqusisition for our little game of Chess?
You didn't do that for that little incident with the Sheddim."
"Well, I had the Queen, and you had the Dark Messiah. Besides, I did have
that little meeting with Father Naples. It was fun to see how deluded they
still are."
"You can hardly call that a meeting. The man was dead before you got there.
And besides, you are still manipulating the Queen, even if she doesn't know
it. But I think I've got you this time, brother. My hold over the
Traditions is secure, moreso then yours over the New World Order."
The man looked over his shoulder to a bank of monitors. One showed Zeus,
Jupiter, and the others from Tokyo landing in a midnight San Francisco
International Airport. Another showed a tall, handsome Spainiard getting
into a private limo at the same airport. A third showed a blonde haired man
getting on a motorcycle in Sausilito. "Well," the man turned back to his
sister, "Let's get this party started."
