Suppose SNK decided to buy the rights to the Ranma 1/2 fighting game.
This
would allow for some interesting possibilities for The King of Fighters
'97. So, here we go:

This team is very amusing to watch. Ranma and Ryouga team up to keep
Akane from being kidnapped yet again. They don't like it, and in the end
there can be only one for Akane. Ryouga splits off and you must use Ranma
to defeat Ryouga and get the best ending. Anytime Ryouga changes, something or
someone distracts Akane in the background so that she doesn't see it happen. If
she's fighting and it starts to rain, the change occurs without her
knowledge. Whenever she fights Ryouga and a change occurs, something needs to be done
so that she is distracted then as well. Any ideas???

Ranma Saotome: Ah, the hero of the story. Presumably the best all around
character to use. He does have to worry about changing against enemies
that use water, or levels set with rain or water.
Both forms use the same moves. Ranma-chan is much faster, but takes
damage easier and doesn't do as much damage.
Kachuu Tenshin Amaguriken: toward, down-toward, down, down-away, away
+ (punch)
Mouko Takabishya: away, down-away, down, down-toward, toward + (punch)
Note: May be done in mid-air
Hiryuu Shoten Ha: toward, down, down-toward + (punch)
3-hit kick combo: down, down-away, away + (kick)
[Super] Full Dragon's Spiral: down, down-toward, toward, down-toward,
down,
down-toward + (punch)
Team-up Super Combos:
(With Akane) Mouko Takabishya Revised Horizontal Blast: away, down-away,
down,
down-toward, toward, down-toward, down, down-toward,
toward + (both punches)
{Akane leaps in front of Ranma. Ranma launches a fireball into her back
and she flies forward, beating the tar out of the opponent while Ranma's
fireball consumes him.}
(With Ryouga) Confident Depression: down, down-toward, toward x 2
+(strong punch & strong kick)
{Ryouga CANNOT be in pig form for this to work. Ryouga bounds to the
opposite side of the enemy and both lauch their respective fireballs. If
opponent blocks, only the damage of one weakened fireball hits. If he
dodges, the two fireballs cancel each other. If he doesn't block, oh how the
fireballs keep on coming...}

Akane Tendo: The one and only kawaikunai iinazuke of Ranma Saotome. She
is a bit faster than Ranma-chan, and has similar punches and kicks as Ranma.
She is much weaker than Ranma, but her speed makes up for it.
Dimensional Hammer: down, down-toward, toward + (punch)
Note: Close range attack ONLY.
I HATE BOYS!: toward, down-toward, down, down-away, away + (punch)
Note: Works only on, guess what: MALES...and Ranma-chan. She knows
better. ;^)

be affected. If not blocking, dodging, or attacking, the opponent will
catch the pig, and automatically throw it. Akane will then charge in a
maddened state and proceed to beat the crap out of her opponent, ending
with the dimensional hammer, knocking the person into low earth orbit.}

Ryouga Hibiki: The eternally lost boy. This poor guys been in love with
Akane for what seems like forever, but can't win her heart. He satisfies
himself with being her pet instead as her cute piggy "P-chan". It's fun
when he's in your squad. If he's in the background he's constantly trying
to wander off in some direction. He has to be led onto the fighting strip
by a team member when it's his turn. When he loses he sits on the ground
glowing bright blue with ki.
(In boy form)

Roaring Lion Knee: away, down, down-away + (kick)
