well, if the action in your story takes place after she turns on the tv,
you might include maybe a sentence or two of foreshadowing, but muddling
the fic down with needless garbage makes me get this itch to hit CTRL-F4

and think about the writer.  man, i get SO bored writing a zillion bs
lines when i want to get to the action and beef and explore some garbage
where it really counts.

oh, if you have lots of writing everywhere, it makes it that much more
difficult to convey stress on any one part of the fic.

You want to do lemon scenes?  Do them in prose - you're typically dealing not 
only with action but also emotions.

heh..some people LIKE to deal with actions only :P
and prose doesn't ALWAYS entail emotions..take kun-chan for example.
the emotions come before and after...in the middle, the important
stuff only! :P
