        As Venkarel wrote, the title of the list is rather deceptive. While
you certainly can post stories based upon nothing but your own imagination,
the focus of this list _is_ anime & manga. As the FAQ says, this list ties
in with rec.arts.anime.creative, and both the fanfic-related websites and
related MLs listed at the bottem are all anime/manga.
        The reason for this is probably to try to contain this list to a
managable level. As it is, we certainly aren't lacking for posts =D (in
fact, at time it can easily be the opposite). There _many_ creative/fanfic
lists out there dealing with different subjects, such as Untold-l (for
comics), Sliders, x-files, B5, startrek, etc, etc, _etc_. If you stories
draw from a specific source, I think it would be best to search and see if
there is a mailing list for that source. That way, fans of that source get
to enjoy another story about their favorite world/person and you get
feedback from people who know a great deal about what you're writing, and
enjoy. Though once again, I (this is very much meant as my personal opinion,
though I've seen others express it who have much better right to do so can I
make this parathesis any longer or more confusing =)) think its alright to
post any story here, especially if you frequently post here.
