"Vampire Princess C-ko"

B-ko waits at the school gate in her school uniform.

A-ko arrives, very late.

B-ko asks her where C-ko is.

A-ko is confused. "I, I don't know."

B-ko gets angry "You lost her?!?" and attacks.

A-ko collapses, B-ko rushes to her, finds her very pale with a weak
pulse, flies A-ko to Daitokuji General Hospital.

The rest of the day, B-ko is distracted in class, worried about A-ko and
C-ko.

That night C-ko appears on B-ko's balcony, steps past the curtains and
says: "B-ko, I'm hungry."

B-ko replies, "don't worry C-ko, I'll wake up the staff and get you lots
of good stuff to eat."

C-ko's eyes burn into B-ko's soul, the phone drops from her fingers and
she awakens in the bed next to A-ko's in the hospital.

A-ko: "You're awake?"

B-ko: "Yes, what?"

A-ko: "Did she get you too?"

B-ko: "C-ko?"

A-ko: "Yeah, she sucked us both dry."

B-ko: "Why don't I have a private room?"

A-ko: "I think this is something of an isolation ward.  The docs think
    you caught whatever is causing this sudden blood loss from me."

B-ko: "I guess you couldn't say ``Oh no doc, it's not a bug, it's my
    friend the vampire, honest!'' "

A-ko giggles then clutches at her head and leans forwards.

B-ko: "A-ko, what?"

A-ko: "It's -- OK.  It'll pass.  My blood's unique.  Mom's will do in a
    pinch, but it gives me awful migraines.  You'd think I'd learn by
    now and keep some of my own bottled up, in case I scrape my knee or
    something."

B-ko: "Very funny.  Say, if you're not really human, I guess you're not
    really interested in Kei."

A-ko: "Oh, I've shown him how human I am..." (winks)

B-ko: "What!"

A-ko: "Just kidding.  I noticed that your dad came by to top you up.

B-ko: "Well, some of us need blood of very high quality and purity to
    keep going, unlike that sludge in your veins.  I'll have to remember
    this.  His birthday's coming up, maybe I can finish that death
    ray.  A-ko, could you help me with that?"

A-ko: "What do I know about death rays?"

B-ko: "Nothing of course, but I need to make sure it works."

A-ko: "Grrr..." (thinks) "Hey, B-ko, the doc'll wanna know that you're
    awake.  He's a real cutie too."

B-ko: "What!" She stabs at the call button.

The doctor visits, B-ko's too shy to speak much, but A-ko flirts at him.

A few days pass.  The girls banter back and forth, secretly enjoying
each other's company.

D comes to visit, listens to their stories then starts her own.

D: "I was afraid of this.  Something about this planet has awakened an
    ancient curse in the princess's blood."

B-ko: "Does this happen often?"

D: "This is the first case in three generations, but it stretches back
    to the daughter of the first empress."

B-ko: "I know that I was an obvious target, being so sweet and delicate,
    but how did C-ko bite through A-ko's leathery hide?"

D: "A side effect of the curse gives her great strength."

A-ko: "Is there any cure?"

D: "I have a few methods that will cause it to remiss for a while, but
    any true cure will require that she leave the planet."

B-ko: "You seem to have everything worked out, why are you telling us
    this?"

D: "I need your help."

A-ko: "For muscle, right?"  She steps out of bed and collapses.

D catches A-ko and puts her back into bed.

D: "No, for bait."
