(note:  I've never seen Tenchi Muyo[u], but I do have a rough idea of
what it's about; I can't find it around here to rent  :P  Synopsis,

I'm not sure Tenchi *can* be meaningfully synopsized. The basic plot is 
fairly simple, and I've seen it reasonably summarized, but the summaries 
don't convey the 'essence' of the show, IMHO. The things I really enjoy 
about the show are the emotional tones/characterizations (pretty darned 
difficult to summarize) and the subtexts (which are also hard to convey 
in a summary). The deeper aspects of the series have a lot of things that 
are conveyed in subtle imagry.
