The giving away of Akane's crush on Toufuu was in character, I
believe, but Ranma's behavior towards her is definitely not. Not
only he insults her worse than he ever did during the manga
(except the time when her did it to awaken her memory), but he
does it without the slightest provocation or reason. In the manga
he did this because he was pushed into a relationship he didn't
choose AND was pretty insecure in showing emotions - so he kept
her at a comfortable distance with occasional insults and minor
fights. In your story he has *no* such motivation whatsoever, but
instead of occurring less, the insults increase and are a lot
meaner in timing and delivering than in the original. You have
effectively made a brash and secretly insecure young man into a
grade A asshole. If that was your intention, I have to wonder
why, if it was not, I'd advise you to change this.
