What do you think of the title?  I thought to use "Heart of the Stone",
until one of my pre-readers pointed out it was a bit derivative.  I
could use "Stone's Heart", but I don't like the way that sounds.

Maybe you could just use the Japanese:

"Ishi no kokoro" lit. Heart of the Stone (although kokoro can also mean
spirit or soul. Very fitting.)

IMNSHO, you could also use "Kiseki/Ishizue no kokoro," in which case,
both kiseki and ishue mean not only stone, but _foundation_ stone (kind
of symbolic given _who_ was the Tendou's "foundation."

If you want a pun, just use "Motherlode" ^_^

Look, it was just... beautiful. Plain and simple. Your style has always
been one of my personal favorites, and with this story you only ensured
your place. Amazing how a story that develops in just a few minutes can
be more touching than a whole novel. Boy, do I feel stupid for writing
that TCP story now...

Anyway, just leave it like it is. It's simply perfect.
