You generally made the senshi's English sound somewhat archaic without

I'm of two minds about "La Morte de Rei."  I kind of like the high
tragedy of the original, but it always depresses me anyway, so I'm
not sure whether I like this version more...

So do I...I wouldn't change the ending so much if this was a STRAIGHT 
Arthurian story :)
 

I thought the Norse stuff dragged a bit, although that may be because I 
read the whole thing in one sitting.  Also, it felt like the characters
were all talking more like 20th century folk.

AAAAh.
 

It was weird though, because I kept seeing guys in my head, because of
the names (especially since my name comes from one of them), and then
I would run acrfoss the pronoun and it would throw me :-).

It's like that :)
 

Two nits:  I noticed "pouring over a text" somewhere.  I thought that
the 5 brothers (Agravaine, Gawaine, Mordred, et al) weren't "the 
Orkneys," but that they came from the Orkney Islands.  Wasn't their
clan name something else?  (You've obviously read your Mallory more
recently than I have, though; besides I might be thinking of something
I read from T. H. White or somebody else).

I have no idea what the proper clan name is...They are from the Kingdom 
of Lothian and Orkney.  I don't remember WHAT, if anything, Mallory calls 
them.

     P-chan ran across the field and hopped into Akane's arms.  She
snuggled her little pet.  "I love you, P-chan, especially with a little
apple in your mouth and that special sauce Ukyou makes."  They cooked
P-chan over an open fire and made special okonomiyaki out of him.  And
all was good.
