When has he ever crossed an ocean by accident, let alone without
noticing? The only times when he left Japan was when he went to
China, and he did that on purpose both times. OK, once he *was*
in China he got lost again and even wandered off as far as Moscow,
but getting lost all over the globe without noticing is something
that he only does in fanfics.
