	She had two choices at that moment, accept the comforting from
	Ranma, or get into another fight with him. Pretend that you're
	her. You choose.

	There are enough examples of gentleness or at least a truce
	between them to support this decision. 

	I tried to write that scene so that the reader might feel Akane
	falling into that abyss, and like Ranma they might wish to dive
	in after and wrap themselves around her to protect her.
