Which of the Ranma 1/2 characters know English well >enough
to act as a translator?  I'm figuring probably Dr. Tofu >and Nabiki,
and perhaps Ryoga.  Does that sound right?

	Well, there's no real example of english use in the manga or Anime so we 
have to go by theory.  Tofu might know english, but there's no special reason 
for him to other than the fact that he's the "Final Option" for learning things. 
 Nabiki is very interested in money and business so it's likely that she's made 
learning english a high priority considering it's importance.  Ryouga, well his 
familys ability to get lost combined with the fact that he's walked to places 
seperated by miles of oceans without crossing water means that he's likely had 
to deal with a lot of foreign languages in his lifetime.  So he's probably got a 
rudimentary practicle understanding of English and a few other languages.  His 
knowledge is probably limited to spoken though.
	Two others who would be likely to know english are Happosei and 
Colougne.  Their both very experienced folk who've learned a lot in their long 
lives.  After all Japanese isn't Colougne's first language and she's fluent, so 
it's reasonable for her to understand English as well.
