On the advice of a couple of people who have responded positively to Chapter
One of FicWars, I am forwarding said chapter to the list.

Please note that I am not subscribed to the FFML, and don't really care to
be at this time. Please forward responses to redneck@txdirect.net .

Put simply, Fic Wars is (or will be) the ongoing story of the battle to
overthrow the Established Order (to wit, the Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon
characters). Their opponents, the Challengers, are currently led by the cast
of TenchiMuyo!, and include the forces of Dominion and Gatchaman. The
stakes: banishment from the world of English anime fanfic, or a larger share
of the raac spotlight.

Sides may change, casts split loyalties, alliances rise and fall, but three
rules apply:

        * NOBODY DIES. No matter how badly they get clobbered, hammered,
punted, or ZORTCHed.

        * AUTHOR CHARACTERS PERMITTED ONLY WITH PERMISSION OF THAT AUTHOR.
Common courtesy.

        * MAKE IT REALLY, REALLY, REALLY SILLY.

Be warned that every installment I write of FicWars will have the
Established Order lose and lose handily. That's why I'm looking for other
writers: somebody has to give these people a chance.

So, in case you haven't read it (or your server didn't get it, as
happens all too often with mine), here's Fic Wars, Ch. 1: The Firing on Fort
Saotome.

All characters copyright their creators. All plot devices copyright
their originators. But too bad 'cause I'm using them anyway, neener neener
neener.

Special thanks to: Ryan Matthews, Larry Mann, Philip Moyer, Martin
Rose, Caroline Seawright, Stefan Gagne, Richard Beaubein, Jon K. Hayashi...

... and to the Brians old and new, MegaZone and Brian Edmonds, for
the obvious reasons.

And now, on with the show.
