Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it to any of the big
anime conventions.
However, I have received word that I'm going to be a pro guest at
Minicon, the Easter convention here in the Twin Cities area.
Heyo! What did they invite you for? ;>
You may not have heard of Minicon, but it's quite nice, held at
Easter each year at the Radisson South in Bloomington, MN. It's a
general SF convention, but there usually is an anime room somewhere, plus
gaming, a masquerade and all the fun extras (the goat farmers/SF club
party has the best food. And I'm not saying that just because I used to
be a goat farmer.)
I'd second the recommendation. I've been there twice, and both times had
a good time. It's a fairly large con, about 3000 people both times I
went. If you're into music, they've had evening music shows every night,
usually with some very good people. Programming ranged from decent to
very good. Minneapolis has a very large and productive SF/Fantasy
community (several authors I really like live there, as well as musical
groups like Cats Laughing, Flash Girls, and Boiled in Lead. (Don't know
if they'll pull Emma back from LA to do a Cats Laughing or Flash Girls
performance, but one can hope...)

I'd really enjoy meeting people there, (especially young pretty
women...No, Akane, put down the mallet!!*BAP*), and hope a few of you can
show up...
Dunno if I can make it this year, but I'll try.
