Am I the only one who thinks Ranma fanfics can be vastly superior to the
manga?  I don't see Takahashi coming up with an "Autumn."  Instead we get
flooded with martial arts tournaments, silly enough to be funny if we
hadn't seen them 300 times before (martial arts eating?  Why?), lots of
Happosai, and under-developed storylines.  #38 ended Ranma worse than
"Holy Grail."  She did a *great* job introducing the characters, but after
that...bleh.

        No, I'm a afraid I mostly agree with you.  RT was great on the
concept end but 38 books of material is bound to have some repitition.  I
really don't want to see a flame war on this or anything but I do consider
alot of Ranma fics to be superior storywise to the manga.  stylisticly it's
hard to do RT better than RT does herself, but as in all things.. it's a
matter of what you like to read.. and personally I like fanfics because
quite often they have endings.
