The wedding did end in a disaster. I think I recall seeing a few scans
of the weding part of the final Manga on Kunoich's home page. I think. Anyways
Ranma didn't run off looking for a cure, that's a pure mailing list invention.
All that happened was that it was decided that Ranma and Akane would have to put
off geting maried till they resolved all the complications which wrecked the
previous wedding.
Oh, and I have never seen any promise from Ranma to keep Ryouga's
secret, Ranma simply believes that it would be dishonerable for him to reveal
this fact about Ryouga. Plus later there's the fear of what Akane will do when
she learns that Ranma kept this information a secret from her.
Oh and Ryouga showed up at the wedding. He didn't try to interfere as
he had appartently decided he was content with Akari, but when the Barrel of
Nanichuan showed up he fought with everyone for it untill Happosei drank it.
