Epilogue :


The sun peeked out from behind the clouds again casting its glow across the
district.  Another beautiful day.  "So why did Ukyou ask us to come down to
her restaurant?", Akane asked as she and Ranma walked towards Ucchan's.  "Don't
know.  She said something about a 'surprise'", Ranma replied from atop the
fence, his usual manner of walking.  "She better not be planning anything
sneaky", Akane thought to herself, frowning.  "Say Akane, what ever happened
to Salvo? 
I haven't seen him since you guys left the fight a few days ago.", Ranma
asked, trying to change the subject.  "I don't know.  He said something
about 'taking care of some business'.  I guess he had to leave.  He got what
he wanted, so why
should he stay?", Akane replied.  Suddenly Ranma jumped down from the fence
and landed in front of Akane.  "Akane, I'm..... sorry I lost the pendant.  I
know how much it meant to you...", he said in a low voice.  "Don't worry
about it
Ranma, it's the thought that counts", Akane said with a slight smile, "Guess
you really do care about me, don't you?"  "Hey!  I......what would I.....?",
Ranma began.  "Hey you guys!", came a voice from out of nowhere.  "Ucchan!",
Ranma
said as Ukyou ran up.  "I'm glad you guys could make it!", Ukyou smiled as
she moved closer to Ranma.  "So what's the big surprise?", Akane asked,
looking slightly annoyed.  "Look for yourself.", Ukyou said, pointing at her
store, or
rather, beside it.  The previously old, broken-down store Salvo had bought
to stay during the fight was now gleaming brand new.  A fresh coat of paint
covered the now packed-with-people store, with a large painted sign above it
reading...
"Salvo's Snowcones?", Ranma remarked, "You mean he's still here?"  "Yup!",
Ukyou smiled again, "Salvo decided to stay in Nerima, and opened a snow cone
parlor."  "I thought you guys were going to be friends?  Now you'll be in
competition with each other.", Akane remarked.  "No way!  We struck a deal.
I handle dinner, he handles dessert!", Ukyou smiled.  "Ranma!  Akane!  Come
on in!", came a voice from the store.  Looking over, Ranma, Akane, and Ukyou
saw Salvo beckoning from the front of his store.  "Let's go!", Ukyou smiled
as she dragged Ranma by the hand, Akane following with annoyance in her eyes.


"Here ya go!", Salvo smiled as he lead Ranma and the others to a crowded
table.  "Ranma!  I happy!", Shampoo cried as she jumped on Ranma.  "What
the...?", Ranma began.  The whole table was filled with the Ranma 1/2 cast, from
Kuno to Genma, all enjoying a flavored snow cone.  "My way of saying thanks,
and to celebrate the opening of my new business, everything is on the house
for my new friends!  And I thought it might be nice to celebrate with some
of your
old friends.", Salvo explained.  "I don't no if I would count Kuno as one of
my 'old friends'.", Ranma mumbled to Akane.  Akane playfully nudged Ranma
and sat down with the rest of the cast.  Ranma turned towards Salvo.  "Hope
we can
be friends?", Salvo asked.  "Only if we're the best.", Ranma replied,
shaking Salvo's hand.  "Great!", Salvo smiled, "But I'll still have to
challenge you again tomorrow."  "What?  Why?", Ranma asked confused.  "Well
now that I got what I
originally came for, now I can move on with my training", Salvo explained,
"And I do that by fighting the best warriors I can find.  That means you."
"Well, since you put it that way...", Ranma began.  "I cannot allow this!",
Kuno shouted,
suddenly leaping onto the table, "No warrior is finer than Tatiwaki Kuno!"
"Wait just one minute!", Ryouga said, "I'm a hundred times better than Ranma
is!"  "Hey, I'm a pretty good fighter myself!", Mousse piped up.  Ranma and
Salvo just
stared, nervous.  "Then it is settled.  First to defeat Ranma is considered
the best warrior in Japan!", Kuno declared.  "You're on!", Ryouga chimed in,
as the three got into battle stance.  "Uh, Salvo?", Ranma said, as he looked
for his new
friend.  He found him in battle stance, turned towards him.  "What are you
doing!?", Ranma shouted.  "Sorry Ranma, but I want to be the best warrior!",
Salvo smiled sheepishly, "Nothing personal!  I'm really sorry.  Really!" 
"AAUUUUUGH!", Ranma shouted as the four descended on him.





Endnote :  Well, that was just the first of a series of Ranma 1/2 fanfics I
plan to write, both with and without my Salvo character, and in conjunction
with my partner, Ranchan, president of P-P-P-Chan Productions.  I am
currently writing a
sequel to this story, as well as others, one being far into the future, so
