"Akane and *ME*"! Graaaarrarrrrgh!
Ranko writes a bit more carefully than Ranma would...

Maybe, but "Akane and I" is still wrong. "I" is used when it is the
subject, while "me" is used everwhere else. It should be "Akane and me", as
Sebastian said.

Those that think "Akane and I" is correct are suffering from a prescriptive
grammar error called "Overcompensation". "Akane and I" is fine for "Akane
and I went to the market." (and "*** and me" as a subject is a common
error) but not for "Kasumi met Akane and I."

How about 'Akane and myself'?

Only works if the pronoun "I" is also the subject of the clause: "I
met Akane and myself." OK, this particular sentence is a bit unlikely.
Maybe if Ranma split into girl and boy halves... but I digress. :-)

The easiest trick for figuring out what's correct is to drop the "and
Akane" part. Everybody knows that "Kasumi met I" is wrong. Same for
"Kasumi met myself". It would be "Kasumi met me" or "I met myself".
Then just put the "and Akane" back and Voila!
