Well, anyway, it's a VERY handy resource for writing. If you've never
looked into a game store take the opportunity. I'm using it in _my_
story.

I'm already working on plans for a BGC campaign - a local gaming
store is opening up some space for gaming in its back room, and I've
expressed interest in running an RPG.
Running the Knight Sabers would be an interesting challenge, to be
sure - but that's not what I had in mind for my group, once it gets
together. Think about it: besides the Stingray-based hardsuits, there are
at least three separate types of powered armor that appear in Bubblegum
Crisis alone: the K-11 and K-12s used by ADPolice, and the powered suit
that Mason wears in OAV #3 (which is considerably clunkier than a
hardsuit, but designed along the same lines).
For me, much of the fun is going to be playing/running characters
in MegaTokyo 2033 (or whenever :) - *original* characters. Being a writer
can be the greatest strength of a GM. So for me, the lack of hardsuit data
outside the KS isn't that much of a weak point.
Besides which: I've been toying with ideas for *other*
hardsuit-mounted weaponry . . . and I'm SURE that other BGC fanfic authors
have had their own ideas. <nod to Bert Van Vliet in particular ^_^>
My team will start out with modest equipment, but who knows? We
never *did* find out what happened to the original Stingray data unit
after Sylia absorbed its information . . . but there could easily be other
sources for that very information that was used in designing the
Hardsuits. And I don't mean other data units, either.
