I've got to confess that I don't. The question here is whether ANY one
person, even a respected critic like Taleswapper, should be giving out
awards at all. As opposed to giving C&C and identifying favorite fics
or favorite authors, which I think we would all agree is a good thing.
It's a question of general principle. I don't see how what you wrote
above has any bearing on this.

In any case, my two cents on the matter have already been put in, so I
won't take it further.
