Marisa, people are entitled to their opinions. After all, isn't that

yes, but they shouldn't set it up as an "awards" thing. A nice "These were
my fav fics" would have been sufficient.

you disagree, but no reason to say that these "awards" shouldn't even be
held. Think: not everyone has the time to read EVERY fic. If someone

I'm not saying that awards shouldn't be held, I am saying that this little
personal ones, where one person gives "awards" out is NOT an impartial
choice by a large body of voters on fics that they like. Therefore, I
don't like the "slanted" awards which don't necessarily reflect the masses
opinions.

does that make sense?

awards are fine, but, the reason why I hate the "TV" awards is because
it is a bunch of movies/music/etc. being picked by only a minority, and
didn't you ever notice that the films/music/whatever that YOU loved and
all your friends loved never wins crap?

I think awards should be a "voting" kind of thing by the people who read
the stories. THEN I would have a lot more confidence that just one or two
people saying "Oh this person deserves an award."
