I don't agree.  Yes, before the end of the story Lachesis would side with the Knight Sabers (she's a Good Guy after all.).  However, a Lachesis stranded in the BG Universe would, IMHO, side with the boomers first, out of sympathy.  Sort of the way you or I would side with test tube developed ape slaves if we were stranded on an ET world with non-humanoid natives.  In other words, there's more obvious connection (to her) between Lachesis and Boomers than between Lachesis and Humans.

The Knight of Gold Mecha is just too powerful.  It'll reduce MegaTokyo to craters while Lachesis scarfs popcorn and watches Marmalade Boy.  Send it against a full powered Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo, or a Super Star Destroyer out of Star Wars.  


Maybe I missed it, but I think Namoi Armitage ought to make the Knight Saber recruit list.  Power her up a little to make up for the gravity difference.  Play up the "I kill criminal robots because I feel sorry for them" angle.  Turn up the drama when the Knight Sabers find out that the wickedly fast new ally is non-human.
