Hello All!
This is another departure from my normal reviews. Richard Lawson's
sequal to "Thy Outward Part" deserves to be reviewed in a similar vein.
Thoughts & Reactions: Zen mentioned to me that Richard had a sequal in
the works, needless to say I was VERY interested. Would Richard continue
with the plot line or not. The next day, poof, "The Nature of Love"
appeared on the ML. I sat down and immediately read it.
Well, the author's notes at the beginning gave away the ending.
Basically, I wasn't as enthralled with the sequal because I was
constantly thinking of the inevitable ending.
Hmmph. I didn't get up and walk around I was just plain upset that Ranma
was so two faced in his relationship with Akane and Kentaro, and his
thoughts of himself. As with the original, I didn't enjoy reading the
story, but I couldn't stop reading. This time, I really hated the
ending, I saw it coming a mile away and flinched at the reactions of
Akane, Ranma & Kentaro.
Also, the thought of Ranma wanting to do the 'wild thing' with Kentaro
right after telling Akane that he loved her, made me yell at my 'puter.
Thankfully, my 'puter wasn't offended by the language. :)
*sigh*
All day Sunday, I thought about different parts of the story. And you
know what happened? I got depressed. The only way I got over it was
watching OMG "Evergreen Holy Night" and "For the Love of Goddess." And
then I posted "It's 11:00."
Richard, you have warped my mind! Psychiatrist bills will be
forethcoming. ^_-
O.k., enough ranting. What kind of review do I give?
