Nope, he's right.  I had a similar problem until I changed to
Procmail to sort my mail.  

Side note.  If anyone needs/wants help with procmail, I've had a *wee* bit
of practice.  (The list and the remailer are both based entirely on
procmail.)

Getting double replies - one private, one Cc to the ML - doesn't
bother me, although I find it irritating sometimes when I reply to
a private post as if it was meant just for me and then realize
that it was *really* meant for the list.

I'm way tempted to have the list reject any post that it's on the CC:
line.
