Hi all, Just a few odd thoughts that I thought you might find
interesting.
1 What's the real reason Akane's cooking is so bad? It's a combination of two
factors, first off there's the often spotted fact that Akane is always cooking
in a state of rage at Ranma, however I can see a second reason for Akane's
problems, Kasumi. Or rather it's the fact that Akane is trying to cook well by
precisely imitating Kasumi. This of course is like a first year Martial arts
student trying to duplicate some of Ranma's super techniques after seeing him
use them once or twice. Kasumi knows exactly where everything is, Akane seeing
this precision tends to not look at what she's adding to the food. Also Kasumi
does everything so effertlessly that Akane feels she ought to be able to
duplicit and makes her efforts so complicated that they turn out worse than if
she tried something simple. It's just a thought
2 A crossover story where the Ranma crew meets the grandaughter of Indiana
Jones. She's in japan looking for a mystic artiface said to posses the power to
cure curses. Also we discover that a little after WWI, Indiana had been touring
China and wound up visiting the Amazon Vilage. There he managed to do the
vilage a great favor, and in repayment, Colougne offered to teach him martial
arts. Because of limited time, however she had to settle for studying his
curent combat style and helping him improve it.(How do YOU think Indy managed
all that dramatic fighting in the films) Indeed, Indy might have known a few
things he hadn't managed to master during the film but which he passed down to
his granddaughter.
3 Ranma gets into a fight with Colougne, who messes up a tricky acupressure
technique. Now Ranma's Ki is constantly getting stronger, and Ranma's having
trouble controlling it (Surges of incredible strength, energy blast flairups,
he's getting really hyper)
4 Colougne concludes that she will loose face if Shampoo doesn't return to China
with Ranma soon, and decides that she can't waste time supporting Shampoo's
fantasies of Ranma as a willing bridegroom anymore. Shampoo has to deal with
the question of supporting her great grandmother's plan to enslave Ranma, or
going against it and risking banishment from the vilage forever.
5 A KOR idea, Kyosuke discovers a little girl, her parrents are completely
ordinary, but she's displaying genuine ESPer ablility. Kyosuke comes in to help
her learn to keep it under controll and hide it, and she developes a crush on
him.
