Wha?  Exactly like Disney's???!!!???  Associating "Omohide Poro Poro"
with "Alladin?"  Don't make me bust a cap in yo' ass! ^_^

Disney movies are clearly aimed at children, with a few minor asides
thrown in to appease the adults who take their kids there.  They can 
be enjoyable, but they're always trite.  Ghibli movies are real movies
that happen to be animated, and contain intelligent and subtle themes.

Which is why a Ghibli fanfic doesn't turn me on...it's not the world
that's interesting, it's the tight situation the characters are in and how
it reveals their personalities, and any expansion would take away from it.
Who wants to see a "Scent of Green Papaya" fanfic?

BTW, anybody know if Disney now owns Laputa and Nausica?  I guess
Miyazaki did them pre-Ghibli Studios.  Not too big a fan of either of
them, but it'd be kind of cool if Disney released "Nausica," just because
it's kinda whacked-out.
