            Usagi and Naru

She thinks I do not know her secret She thinks I do not know her secret
Does she really think she can fool me? Does she really think she can fool me?
I know the secret that she hides I know the secret that she hides
Why won't she tell me? Why won't she tell me?

There was a time when we shared There was a time when we shared
Every experience, every secret Every experience, every secret
We were the best of friends We were the best of friends
And then it changed. And then it changed.

A change came into my life I wasn't sure at first what happened
A change I did not want I could tell something was different
A duty I never asked for. I waited for her to tell me
A duty that took me from my friend. I waited for her as I always did.

I remember the fear in her eyes I know now where it began
A monster's hands clenched her neck A monster tried to kill me
A monster with her mother's form A monster with my mother's form
On that day, a part of me died. On that day, Sailor Moon was born.

One by one, I met the friends She saved my life, then ran away
Who joined me on my path Things began to change from that day
In them I found the strength She found new friends; I faded away
I had never found in myself They drove me from her life.

And then there was Nephrite I turned to love, and met a man
Naru loved him more than life I fought for his heart and won
Her love was true; it had power I loved him more than life itself
She defeated him when we could not. And in the end he died for me.

She risked her life I risked my life
To save him from me To save him from her
She risked her soul I risked my soul
And won his back. And won his back.

And then he died. That was the day I learned her secret
For all my power, That was the day I learned the truth
I couldn't save him Why she was turning away from me
>From his past. The secret she had hidden so long

I see the fear in her eyes sometimes My best friend was Sailor Moon
She looks at Umino and remembers The heroine in whom I trusted
How her last love died But now I learned...
And I remember I failed her. That she didn't trust me.

She won't tell me about the fear How could I tell?
But I know she sometimes wakes I recognized the tears in her eyes
And wonders what will happen I recognized how she spoke my name
When the monsters come for him. I knew her, for she knew my pain

I wish I could tell her I'll keep her secret
That I'll keep them safe She's still my friend
That I can protect them. But I wonder sometimes
But what if I fail? Why I can't be told.

She thinks I do not know her secret She thinks I do not know her secret
Does she really think she can fool me? Does she really think she can fool me?
I know the secret that she hides I know the secret that she hides
Why won't she tell me? Why won't she tell me?

HOW DO PEOPLE IN LOVE TYPICALLY BEHAVE?

"When a person gets kissed for the first time, they fall down and they
don't get up for at least an hour."
