On a similar note I posted a little spam a couple weeks back regarding a
real life mass face fault. It deals with the time when I was with the
Submarine Squadron ONE liason to the JDS Fuyushio (SS-583), a Japanese
Maritime Self Defense Force diesel electric sub that was in Pearl on
liberty.

We were on the mess decks with about 20 Fuyushio sailors. A haze of
cigarette smoke filled the low ceiling, and the crew was having lunch
and BSing. The COB (Chief of the Boat, senior enlisted man on board)
told a joke. I couldn't tell you what he said, but my friend Yoshio (an
American sailor who was their driver) groaned, and then I saw the entire
mess decks do a rather painful face fault. They all groaned in agony and
pitched themeselves onto the deck or onto each other because there is no
room to move in the bench seats at the tables. It was so spontaneous
that I had to check the bulkheads to make sure they weren't animation
background cels.
